Cashiers, Girls Trip, Rest, Coffee & Waterfalls

Impact was happy to host a girls trip at a wonderfully accommodating property in Cashiers, NC. Such a trip inspired one of the guests to write a blog for us, illustrating the many ways the retreat was a blessing to her and others. We are happy to share her experience.

This spring my friends and I were looking for a little reunion trip, a relaxing week away to catch our breaths. With half of us in Indiana, and the other half in Georgia, Cashiers was the perfect place to meet. The cabin setup was perfect for our group and the restful week we wanted. Each cabin was beautiful and offered the perfect spot for everyone to enjoy their personal space and come together when desired. There was always something going on in the living room, some of our group staying back to play cards, make cookies, or curl up and watch a movie.

Each day looked fairly similar, sleeping in and slowly making our way to the kitchen for breakfast; sitting on the deck with our coffee and planning out the day. Eventually we got ready and would go out for the day’s adventure. Having access to private trails and waterfalls was a game changer. When you set out for a hike, hoping to see the sights and enjoy time with your friends there is usually one thing you don’t want to see: other groups of hikers. I’ve never stayed anywhere with so much adventure and privacy right out your door. I definitely underestimated how amazing the waterfalls would be here. Day after day, hike after hike we kept coming across huge and beautiful waterfalls that would take my breath away each time.

After the day’s adventure we would come back together at our lovely cabin retreat and start a fire. One thing that I have to note is just how serene the nights were here. Even though the drive to town wasn’t too far, all you could hear at night was the wind rustling through the trees and the occasional birds or crickets. Looking up at the stars was the same, light pollution had no reach to this cabin and we ended almost every night by looking up and being absolutely in awe of how many stars we could see.

Our group is so thankful to Impact Vacations for making this girls trip what it was. Although the whole landscape of western North Carolina is beautiful, I’m convinced the trip would not have been the same had we stayed somewhere else. Thank you Impact Vacations!
